Young cafe brand Coffee Cube asked us to redesign their coffee stall. The stall is placed under the famous 70's department store Kotva, which is situated in the Old Town of Prague. The main demand and also limitation for the design process was the fact that we could not change the facade of the stall.
Usable space of the stall, which is 2 by 2,5 by 2 meters, is really small even for making coffee. So reorganization of the storage space by new shelving system and utilization of every decimetre of the space were obvious steps to do. Adjustment of spacial arrangement of the stall should help with better work flow. When you make hundreds of coffees a day, every centimeter of movement matters. So we also designed custom made table for the coffee machine, that allows everyone who makes coffee to set up its height to ideal position for him or her.
The guys from the Coffee Cube decided to improve the whole appearance of their brand along with the change of the stall. So we proposed a new color scheme of light grey, dark blue and red. It fits better to the ambience they are creating in this small square under the Kotva with their ease and joy. The color pallette somehow expresses the nice feeling we had with our first coffee there. Like you were in the mountains or on the beach.
